Sausage Casserole with Chilli Beans – BLW Friendly


  • 1 pack sausages (I put in about 12)
  • 1 x tin of mixed beans in chilli sauce
  • carrot
  • mushrooms
  • carton passata
  • 2tbsp tomato puree
  • glug of red wine
  • Italian herbs
  • Crusty bread (I put in a bread mix to the breadmixer after lunch and it was lovely and fresh for dinner)


  • Brown off the sausages and place in the slow cooker
  • Fry off the mushrooms and carrots – I made sure to lightly char the carrots for added taste
  • Put everything else in teh slow cooker
  • Cook on low for 6-8 hours
